Every Orbea bicycle is born in the heart of the Pyrenees in northern Spain. It is a region that is lush and emerald green with a mild climate that is good for riding year-round. It is a land where cycling is a way of life. This region, known as Euskadi in the Basque language and Pais Vasco in Spanish, is home to some 1,500 cycling clubs and thousands of cyclists. It is a region where children learn to ride in school and are taught the history of cycling in the region. Even the government promotes cycling; passing laws to designate cycling routes where cars must drive very slow and pass with extra care.

In short, it is the perfect place to design and make a bicycle. Each and every Orbea is made with a passion that is expressed in beautiful bikes. Every Orbea has an intricate hand-painted finish that takes hours to perfect. More importantly, every Orbea ignites passion in its rider. Orbea bicycles climb with aplomb and descend intuitively. It is a pedigree born in the best cycling region in the world: The Pyrenees.

Orbea Roadbikes
Orbea’s goal is to maximize the potential of the bicycle. Nowhere is this more apparent than our extensive road line. Our new Orca is the pure expression of performance, technology and style, a bike that transcends classification. But the drive for the perfect bike does not stop there. Whether it is the stunning Opal racing machine, or our mid-level Aqua, we create road bikes that reward riders with more artistry and performance per dollar than any other brand in cycling.

Orbea Cyclocross Bikes
Whether you’re “pinning it” on the bell lap, cruising a fire road, or looking for the bike that does it all, the Orbea Cyclocross is as much fun as you can have on knobby tires. For the cross purist we have a traditional horizontal top tube that is flattened on the underside for easy shouldering. The bi-axially ovalized downtube adds integrity to the frame. S-bend seat stays offer clearance for muddy sections and compliance everywhere else.

Orbea Women's Bikes

Orbea believes that every rider should have the same inspired experience. The average adult woman is approximately 5’4” tall. This means that approximately half of the female population is less than 5’4” and that a significant number of women need a bike smaller than can be designed with 700c wheels. When addressing the needs of our customers who are smaller in stature we were unwilling to make compromises in regards to how a bike should feel. The new 46 cm size with 650c wheels (available on flagship Diva and on Aqua Dama) will allow
a woman of less than five feet to get the same precise fit without sacrificing handling or safety. Orbea knows that sometimes less is more.

Orbea Multispot/TT Bikes
Orbea’s multisport bikes were developed for the demands of the world’s top racers. While our engineers can model how a bike should ride, only our pro athletes give Orbea the seal of approval before our bikes hit the market. Triathlon champions like Hunter Kemper, Craig Alexander, Kate Major and Greg and Laura Bennett helped us develop Ordu and Ora. Our pro racers are tearing up the roads worldwide.

Orbea Offroad Bikes
Orbea’s mountain bike inspiration is right outside the doors of our Mallabia, Spain factory. We have been designing, building and testing mountain bikes in the Pyrenees Mountains for decades. Orbea’s off-road passion is evident in the weightless Alma, the speedy Oiz Carbon and the new silky smooth Occam. With more models than ever, Orbea has you covered wherever you choose to ride. Orbea has a long history of mountain bike sponsorship. Great riders from the past include World Champion Marga Fullana, and our current champions include multiple-World Champion Julien Absalon and the current #1 world ranked women’s Luna Pro Team. Well known for taking the entire podium, Luna is looking to fill three spots in the 2008 Olympics, led by 2007 U.S. National Champion Georgia Gould. These riders are key to our development and testing process and make sure that any bicycle we create is truly of World-Cup quality.
